A particular viewpoint in the village is the so-called “Sitzkofel”, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Bassa Atesina as well as the Dolomite peaks.

Slightly away from the village, there is the Gothic parish church dedicated to Saint Georg. It boasts a Romanesque steeple dating back to the 13th century as well as a Baroque high altar (1713), which originally adorned the former S. George’s church of Pianizza di Sopra in Caldaro. By the way, from Cortaccia a contemplation path with 14 stations of the cross, leading to Corona.
