Sun, woods, tranquillity and mountains - this is the best way to describe the Val d’Ultimo valley and the adjacent Upper Val di Non.

The Val d'Ultimo, which winds up the mountainside from Lana in the Merano region and ends 40 km further on at the idyllic Lake Fontana Bianca with its alpine pastures, is a hiker's paradise in summer. The tours start on the valley floor with the Ultimo Farm Trail and the circular trail around the Zoccolo Reservoir, and take you up to the Canziani at the Lago Verde Hut at 2,560 m a.s.l.
In winter, the Schwemmalm awaits skiers and snowboarders. The small ski paradise, where some of the greats of the international ski circus also train, is almost an insider tip. A well-maintained road connects the valley with the adjacent Alta Val di Non valley, a gentle, idyllic natural landscape on the language border between South Tyrol and the Trentino.
