Ski Area Schwemmalm Ultimo

The snow sure Schwemmalm in the Val d’Ultimo valley is the home skiing area of the ski star Dominik Paris.

The Schwemmalm in the Val d'Ultimo valley, offering a wonderful panorama on the Ortles Alps, is becoming more and more popular. 7 lift facilities take you to the ski slopes: One of the cabins of the modern gondola lift was dedicated to the local ski star Dominik Paris, Super-G World Champion 2019 and multiple winner on the mythical "Streif" slope in Kitzbühel! The Schwemmalm is also a popular training area - ski stars such as Lindsey Vonn, Giulia Mancuso and Aksel Lund Svindal were already here for training purposes.

The skiing area is family-friendly: The "Bärenhöhle" Snow Kindergarten for children from 3 to 8 years is open daily, furthermore there's also the Schwemmy Snow World, located next to the mountain station - the mascot "Leni", a small sheep, is always on hand to take care of children around the snow world. Next to the Pracupola valley station, however, there's the Schwemmy Kinderland, a practice park with a sun terrace for the parents near-by. Also the neighbouring Cafè Seawies is available, as well as a huge gravel parking space, a visitor centre and a ski rental. Other ski rentals, however, can be found at the Breiteben valley station and intermediate station.

A challenge is the 2.5 km long Mutegg slope, the descent from Mt Muta at 2,658 m a.s.l. In 2019 the Schwemmalm, one of 15 skiing areas belonging to the ski carousel Ortler Skiarena, was voted one of the best skiing areas (up to 30 km of slopes) worldwide by the German ski portal If you prefer other winter sports, you can either go sledding on the natural toboggan run "Moscha", cross-country skiing or ice skating on the new ice rink right next to the valley station.
