Plose Skiing Area

The skiing area with the legendary Trametsch Slope is located on the local mountain of Bressanone, the 2,562 m high Plose

Also Bressanone has its own skiing area: The 42 km of well-groomed slopes of Mt. Plose provide fun and action in the snow. The valley station is located near the locality of Sant'Andrea, accessible on a well developed mountain road. In the winter season 2023/24, the new 10-seater gondola with intermediate station "Plose 1+2" was inaugurated. From the summit of Mt. Plose, however, you can enjoy the stunning view on the Dolomites in the south and on the main chain of the Alps in the north. Actually, the skiing area includes two of the three peaks of the Plose Massif.

The main peak is called Plose and features the 9 km long Trametsch, the longest valley run in South Tyrol: It starts at the Plose Hut at 2,486 m a.s.l. and overcomes 1,400 m of altitude difference on its way to the valley station. Furthermore, there's Mt. Pfannspitze where the family slope is located. The third peak is Mt. Gabler, a peak in the Puez-Odle Nature Park, a protected World Heritage site in the Dolomites. The family offer includes the Rudiland at the valley station and the 10.5 km long RudiRun, a toboggan run which is illuminated once a week during the Plose Night.

If you learn skiing, you can try your first steps on the Randötsch practice slope. On Mt. Plose, a member of Dolomiti Superski, also the Gitschberg Jochtal Bressanone Ski Pass is valid. It includes the five skiing areas Plose, Gitschberg-Jochtal, Luson, Velturno and Val di Funes. A skibus connects the surrounding villages with the skiing area high above the charming town of Bressanone.
