Alpin Arena Senales

The Val Senales skiing area, the glacier skiing area of the famous Ortler Skiarena, welcomes you on 3,200 m a.s.l.

On the Val Senales Glacier in the north-west of Merano, there is a special skiing area, where you can ski from September or October - depending on the weather - until late spring. It attracts even national alpine skiing teams which prepare themselves for the coming season. Snowboarders and freeskiers instead will enjoy the Val Senales Fun Park, while children can look forward to the "Tiroli's Kinderland". The Ski and Snowboard School is on hand to assist you on the slopes.

This skiing area on the border of South Tyrol and Austria offers 30 km of well-groomed slopes - among them also the new Transhumanz slope of medium difficulty, the easy Hasen downhill run, and the enlarged Lazaun slope with snow-making facility. The black Leo Gurschler training slope for slalom and giant slalom, however, gets his name from the local pioneer Leo Gurschler.

In Maso Corto and surroundings, also other sports like snow-shoeing, ski mountaineering and cross-country skiing - beneficial for body and soul - are on the agenda. The Val Senales Glacier was already declared winning skiing area up to 30 km of slopes worldwide (, 2019).
