Already more than a decade ago, Maranza with its cable car at the edge of the village and Valles with the Jochtal Gondola Lift have become one. 55 km of wonderful ski slopes on the southern slopes of the Fundres Mountains as well as 15 lift facilities await you here. They include the so-called Ski Express and the Gaisjoch Cable Car: It soars 93 metres above the ground and offers a magnificent view on the Valle di Altafossa valley, a paradise for winter hikers, and the Isarco Valley.
Wide slopes characterise above all Mt. Gitschberg, also known as Monte Guzzo, while carving fans love the slopes of the Jochtal Skiing Area. If the weather is fine, from the Gitschberg, Stoanermandl and Cima Lasta viewing platforms you can enjoy a great view on more than 500 mountain peaks. Furthermore, the ski huts along the slopes of the Gitschberg-Jochtal Skiing Area - such as the Anratter, Pichler and Gitsch Huts - invite to a stop and some relaxing hours on their sun terraces.
The snow park realised by F-Tech and the Gitschberg Speed Track complete the offer for the snowboarders, whereas the Gimmy Park and the Wood Line, a kids area in the forest with wooden elements along the ski slope no. 10, complete the one for families. New, however, is the Brimi Winter Run, a 6.7 km long toboggan run from the Gitschberg Nesselhütte mountain station to the village of Maranza. The second toboggan run of the skiing area, the one along the Schilling Cable Car, takes you from the intermediate station to the valley station in Valles.
