The guided walk on October 11 focuses on the volcanic origin of the Bolzano basin.
The Oswald Promenade lies on the slope of an ancient caldera — a large, cauldron-shaped structure of volcanic origin. During the guided hike organized by the South Tyrol Museum of Nature on Saturday, October 11, participants will see evidence of the massive volcanic event that, 280 million years ago, shaped the entire Bolzano basin.
The meeting point is at 2:30 PM at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature, Via Bottai 1, Bolzano. The hike lasts two hours. Online registration is required on the museum's website. The cost of participation is €12 for adults and €8 for children up to 16 years old. The path includes architectural barriers (stairs). The tour will be conducted in both German and Italian.
