The “I breathe - Far from the world” Climate Gallery in the Predoi Mine is located 1,100 m in the interior of the mountain.
The Climate Gallery in the Predoi Mine - "Klimastollen Prettau" in German, "Centro Climatico Predoi" in Italian - offers an allergy-free and pollen-free microclimate with very pure air, beneficial above all for those with chronic respiratory problems. Here, about 1,100 m in the heart of the mountain, a wall separates the Climate Gallery from the Predoi Show Mine. Inside, you'll find deckchairs and woollen blankets for a relaxing 2-hour session, supervised by attendants and a physiotherapist. For children, however, there are games and painting utensils.
The relative humidity in the gallery bounds suspended particles and allergens, and this cold and pure air (8 - 10 degrees C) is inhaled and warmed to the body's temperature. A repeated stay in the Climate Gallery - two weeks with one visit a day are recommended - reduces stress on lungs and bronchial tubes as well as swelling of the breathing structure and allows to breathe more freely. This form of cave therapy is known as speleotherapy and is entirely free of side effects.
The offer is completed by the hotels and guesthouses of the Respiration Club, offering allergy-free accommodation, certified by the South Tyrolean Environmental Agency. Another offer of the Climate Gallery - "Far from the World" - is intended for all persons who'd like to relax and recover far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Soft sounds and dim lighting await you.
