San Vito

The main place of the municipality of Sesto is an ideal starting point for tours in the Tre Cime - Dolomiti di Sesto nature park.

San Vito di Sesto is located at 1,300 m asl, its parish church is above all known for the ceiling paintings of the artist Albert Stolz from Bolzano. In the centre of the village, there is a museum that is dedicated to this artist.

The round trail of Sesto is ideal for getting to know the village of Sesto, it comprises two parts and provides an insight into history, culture and nature, ideal for a walk with the whole family.

For walking we also recommend the Valle Campo di Dentro, from where you start your walk to the Rif. Tre Scarperi. Of course also the walk round the Tre Cime di Lavaredo must be part of your summer holidays, as the symbol of the Alta Val Pusteria is famous in the whole world. What you also don’t have to miss is the Enrosadira, the breathtaking sunset in the Dolomites that colours the mountains reddish.

Bad weather? No way out! The climbing gym of Sesto, the Dolomit Arena between San Vito and Moso gets you moving. In winter a ski tour to the Sasso di Sesto, cross-country skiing in the Valle Campo di Dentro and a winter walk with a great view of the Dolomites are highly recommendable. There is no boredom in Sesto at all. Enjoy your stay.
