This hike takes you to great heights via the longest suspension bridge in South Tyrol. It is located at the entrance to the Val Sarentino, above the Marterloch gorge. Besides its impressive length of 272 metres and a height of 130 metres, it also serves another important function: it transports water from the Val Sarentino to San Genesio Atesino through a pipe running underneath it. The hike is suitable for families and is accompanied by 20 interesting information panels, where you can learn more about the history, the new suspension bridge, and the local area. Until the end of the 19th century, this path was the only link from Bolzano to the Val Sarentino
