Environmental associations send a musical signal in support of forest protection

Culture and nature are closely intertwined – and this connection will be tangible on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center of Caldaro. The association “Unser Wald – il nostro bosco”, together with the Gruppo Ambiente Caldaro, the Association for Culture and Heritage Protection, and AVS Caldaro, invites the public to a benefit concert in support of the forest.
Admission is free; voluntary donations will support the initiative.

Music as responsibility

The Monteverdi Akademie, with Sabina von Walther (soprano), Milly Franetovic (violin) and Arnaldo De Felice (oboe), will demonstrate how culture can take responsibility for an ethical and profound vision of our existence – and how music can inspire us to look at our environment with new eyes (and ears).

The program, perfectly in tune with the theme of the forest, includes:

– A. Vivaldi, The Four Seasons
– J. S. Bach, Cantata “Ich bin vergnügt mit meinem Glücke” BWV 84

A repertoire that evokes the rhythm of the seasons, an awareness of nature, and a sense of gratitude for what surrounds us.

Civic commitment to forest protection

The initiative “Unser Wald – il nostro bosco” was created to actively advocate for the protection of the forest areas of Caldaro. At its core is the preservation of the forest as a vital space, a place of well-being, and an ecological protection system.

In particular, the association opposes the construction of agricultural water reservoirs in the Caldaro forest, which would entail significant interventions in nature and the landscape. The group’s commitment is based on information, dialogue, and cultural initiatives aimed at raising public awareness.

The benefit concert therefore represents a concrete expression of this commitment: art becomes a voice for the defense of nature.

The evening will conclude with a convivial toast, offering the audience the opportunity to meet and get to know the musicians in person.

Free admission – voluntary donation

The concert is organized in collaboration with the Association of Biologists of South Tyrol, WWF Trentino–Alto Adige, FAI South Tyrol, Mountain Wilderness Italia, CAI Merano, TAM, and Climate Action South Tyrol.
