Description

The conversation will explore and discuss the forms and functions of the visual artist book in children's book publishing. Particular attention will be paid to the history of the former publishing house Les Trois Ourses and its innovative work in the publication and distribution of visual books for children. Between the 1980s and 2000s, they developed their projects together with artists, scholars, schools, bookstores, and collectors in cultural, museum, and international contexts.

As part of the project "Standard ISO 29991. Tesauro di ecologia bambina," supported by Strategia Fotografia 2024 and funded by the Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura.

* Shibboleth is a non-profit platform for publishing as a socially engaged artistic practice.
* Mutty in Castiglione delle Stiviere is dedicated to the promotion of art and culture: a bookshop, a bar with a kitchen and a space for exhibitions and workshops.
