Hike through chestnut groves

Starting at Laion we walk across meadows, fields and chestnut groves towards Albions and Novale. On our way we visit the largest "natural monument" of South Tyrol, a chestnut tree which measures 9 meters (at the Residence Lusenegg). We proceed to the birth house of Walther von der Vogelweide and the vineyards and traditional wine taverns in Novale. Here the origin of the old custom which is called "Törggelen" can be realized. In the rustic parlours of the farmhouses typical homemade Törggele-dishes and the new wine can be tasted.
