Kick-Off of: Slow Food specialty weeks

This year's opening event for the Specialty Weeks of the Schnalstal Sheep Slow Food Presidio will take place in an unusual yet harmonious setting. The newly opened “Campus Transhumanza”, launched in June, is a place where curious minds can thrive and where history and tradition are brought to life through all the senses.

As part of the inauguration of the permanent exhibition “Transhumanz” in the barn of the Campus Transhumanza, the unveiling of the sound sculpture by Harald Rainer and Elias Wallnöfer, and the premiere of the Schnalstal composition by Pier Paolo Polcari and Dietmar Rainer, the symbolic kick-off for this year’s Specialty Weeks will also take place.

The celebrations will be held on September 6, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at the Campus Transhumanza in Unser Frau. Following the festivities, a traditional dish featuring Schnalstal sheep will be served—an intimate prelude to the 10th anniversary of the Specialty Weeks held in conjunction with the Transhumance.
