Toerggele Events "Gassltörggelen" at Chiusa

When autumn begins in the southern Valle Isarco, it starts also the so-called Törggele-season. Chiusa celebrates the beginning of this ancient tradition with a big festival.

From 18th September to 20th September, the artist's city Chiusa dedicates itself entirely to the traditions of the "Törggelen" and transforms itself into some kind of outdoor tavern.

Through the streets of the town, gastronomic stands offer various South Tyrolean specialties, such as Knödel, Schlutzkrapfen, sausages with sauerkraut (fermented cabbage), doughnuts, Strauben and roasted chestnuts.

A rich selection of white wines from the Valle Isarco completes the culinary offer. The festival has also a colourful entertainment program and a lot of popular music.

• 5:00 p.m. – Festival opens
• 6:00 p.m. – Autumn Fashion Show featuring the Törggelen Queens at the Market Square
• 7:00 p.m. – Parade of the community bands from the Market Square to Tinne Square, followed by the presentation of the new Klausen Anthem at Tinne Square
• 1:00 a.m. – Festival closes

• 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Festival activities

• 10:30 a.m. – Festival opens
• 4:00 p.m. – Parade through the Old Town
• 5:00 p.m. – Lottery drawing at Tinne Square
• 8:00 p.m. – Festival closes
