Whizzing down the mountain: 1,800 metres of summer tobogganing fun on Mt. Klausberg in the Valle Aurina

The Klausberg, near Cadipietra in the Aurina Valley, is a popular hiking area in the summer and transforms into a ski arena in winter. Here, at 1,600 metres above sea level, a special highlight awaits families and adventure seekers: the Klausberg Flitzer, a rail toboggan run that whizzes down the mountain meadows at speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour.
While the valley itself attracts visitors with its toboggan runs in winter, tobogganing fun is also guaranteed in summer thanks to the Klausberg Flitzer. You can easily reach the almost two-kilometre-long Klausberg Flitzer by cable car. It's located right next to the Family Park on Mt. Klausberg with its balance course, zipline, life-sized dinosaurs, and water adventure world.
Children under eight years old may only ride accompanied by an adult - older children can toboggan on their own. The meeting point is the valley station of the panoramic cable car.
How to get there: The cable car starts on the outskirts of Cadipietra - buses also stop there, such as the 450 line from Brunico. Alternatively, you can start on foot from the valley station and reach the alpine meadow in one to two hours on a forestry track, passing the Kristall Mountain Hut.

Tickets are available for 5 or 10 rides on the Klausberg Flitzer. Furthermore there's the "All Inclusive Card", purchasable only in summer, which includes the ascent and descent by K-Express Cable Car, a ride with the Klausberg Flitzer, a flight with the Klausberg Zipline, and 1 hour at the JumpPark.
The Klausberg Flitzer operates in summer and in winter - the seasons refer to the ones of the Klausberg Cable Car, which takes you to the Klausberg Flitzer. Both remain closed in spring (end of April to mid-May) and in autumn (early November to early December).
Summer season start 2026 on the 1st of May, winter season start 2026/2027 in early December.
