“Freeride Ciampinoi” - the special bike experience in Selva Gardena begins at the mountain station of the Ciampinoi Cable Car

The mountain bike adventure starts at exactly 2,254 m a.s.l. near the mountain station of the Ciampinoi Cable Car. An easy access from the village of Selva Gardena (Wolkenstein) is thus possible. On the first few hundred metres it overcomes a gravel road leading to the mountain station of the chairlift where the actual Bike Park Ciampinoi is located.
From 2,160 m a.s.l. downhill on a 3 km long track to 1,592 m a.s.l. - these few words describe a special downhill ride of about 20 minutes in the mountains of the Val Gardena valley. The Ciampinoi Restaurant near the mountain station and the Baita Valentini mountain hut at the end of the track invite to stop. Tickets are available at the cableway.
By the way, Mt. Ciampinoi itself, a 2,280 m high mountain covered by pine forests, rises south of Selva Gardena. It is dominated by the majestic Mt. Sassolungo in the Dolomites. Don't forget to wear a helmet as well as a back pad, elbow and knee pads - it is mandatory!

The opening hours correspond to those of the Ciampinoi Cable Car, which provides access to the mountain station and thus the start of the track: It operates every day from early June to mid-October, and day tickets are available at the ticket office at the Ciampinoi valley station.
Season start 2026 on June 6.
