As soon as we arrive, the Val di Vizze greets us with its wonderful Alpine panorama. From Sasso, a hamlet of San Giacomo di Vizze di Dentro at the end of the valley, a beautiful, moderately demanding hike starts towards the Passo di Vizze Hut, also known as Pfitscherjoch-Haus. The hut, built in 1888, has been privately owned since then and represents the oldest privately run mountain refuge in South Tyrol.
