At the end of September, the village of Pichl in the Gsiesertal Valley once again hosts the traditional “Keila Kirschta”! The festival begins on Saturday with the ceremonial raising of the Kirschta Michl tree, followed by a convivial evening with live music and a great atmosphere in the festival tent. The highlight of the weekend is Sunday’s grand parade with the traditional cattle drive. Decorated animals, beautifully adorned festival wagons and the ceremonial entry of the music bands turn the village into a lively stage full of tradition and customs. Delicious Tyrolean specialties and a varied children’s programme complete the experience – a celebration for the whole family!
