On Friday, 22 and Saturday, 23 August 2025, Monguelfo transforms into a chocolate lover’s paradise! The 15th Chocolate Festival promises two days of sweet highlights, irresistible treats, and cocoa-filled surprises. In the heart of the village centre, the enticing Chocolate & Gourmet Market invites you to explore the finest creations of skilled chocolatiers: melt-in-the-mouth chocolate bars, handcrafted pralines with fruity or nutty fillings, and artistically shaped chocolate figures – from cute animals to elegant high heels. Here, every chocolate heart will find its joy! Accompanied by live music, a colourful children’s programme and a cheerful festival atmosphere, the event offers a delightful experience for the whole family. And for those seeking a short break from the sweetness, the food stalls serve hearty regional dishes – perfect for recharging your taste buds before the next chocolate indulgence. The festival kicks off on Friday at 04:00 pm. with the opening of the Chocolate & Gourmet Market and the creative local craft fair. At the same time, the children’s activities begin with fun games and face painting. At 04:30 pm., the Monguelfo-Tesido youth band provides a festive musical welcome, followed by the official opening at 05:30 pm. The evening continues with live music from the “Sillianer Buibm” until late. On Saturday, the festival resumes at 10:00 am. with market stalls, artisan crafts and a wide range of children’s entertainment – including trampoline fun, craft corners and much more. In the morning, the group “Gipfelblech” brings lively brass music to the stage, followed by traditional folk dances from Innervillgraten in the afternoon. The Monguelfo-based band “COMBO7” takes over in the evening with international classics and timeless hits – with the big festival lottery drawing at 08:00 pm as the grand finale.
