Museum summit in Bolzano

The Austrian Museums Day takes place every year in a different region, and this year it will be held from October 8th to 10th in South Tyrol, Bolzano, at the Walther von der Vogelweide House of Culture. The event, organized by the Provincial Museums Agency in collaboration with ICOM Austria and the Association of Austrian Museums, offers conferences, meetings, and networking opportunities.

The program includes the annual assembly of ICOM CECA Austria and the awarding of the museum quality seal, insights on artificial intelligence, digitization, and online platforms, as well as the presentation of the Austrian Museum Award to the Nordico Stadtmuseum in Linz. The final day focuses on the future of museum work, reflecting on new career opportunities and how to make museums more accessible and active through technology, concluding with museum visits.

The event aims to be a platform for professional exchange and a stimulus for innovative and future-oriented museum work.
