Return of the cattle

When the cattle returns from mountain pastures, people celebrate it with a colourful event in September. For this event, called “Almabtrieb”, the cows are decorated with alpine flowers, mirrors and bells.
From 10.00 am there is a festival on the meadow in Ranui. Traditional dishes are offered. Of course there is also traditional music.
The cows are expected to return at Ranui at around 12.00 noon. The mountain hut Dusleralm remains closed on this day.
