The municipality of Funes comprises the villages of Tiso, San Valentino, San Giacomo, Colle, San Pietro and Santa Maddalena in the homonymous valley. The Alpine valley stretches on a length of 24 km from the striking Odle mountains to the vineyards of the Valle Isarco in the north of Chiusa. Funes belongs to the network of the Alpine Peals, able to offer soft mobility throughout your entire holidays.

The picturesque Val di Funes is an outdoor gym for those who love active holidays. Already when you approach the valley, your sight is caught by the bizarre peaks of the Odle pinnacles. The Puez Odle nature park promises adventures in the heart of unspoilt nature with hiking destinations for every level of mountaineering. Funes is by the way considered the green heart of this nature park and is therefore site of the visitors' centre. A further attraction are the geodes of Tiso, exhibited in the mineral museum of this village located at the entrance of the valley.

However, not only the Odle mountains and the lovely church of Santa Maddalena symbolise the valley, also Reinhold Messner, one of the world's most famous alpinists and honorary citizen of Funes who was born in the valley.
