Llama walks at the Raichhof

Wander through the magnificent mountain scenery of Val Passiria with the calm llamas

In the Upper Val Passiria, more precisely in Bovile near Moso in Passiria, you will find the Raichhof - a picture-book farm. Chicks hatch here, Prinz the peacock struts across the yard with his partner Sissy, and the farm cat or the pony greet visitors. And this is also home to the llamas that will accompany you on a trek through the mountain landscape of the Val Passiria.

After you have met the animals and received all the important information about the tour, you are ready to set off. The options range from short walks and half-day treks, for example to Plan with a stop for coffee and cake, to leisurely tours to the Ulvas Mountain Hut at an altitude of 1,600 metres. They lead through the landscape of the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park.

Along the way, you might meet other hikers who cast curious glances at your unusual companions. After the tour, you will return to the Raichhof, where you can say goodbye to your llama companion until next time. The idea came about after a sunrise hike that so inspired the farm owners that they decided to keep llamas on their farm themselves.

How do you get there: The Raichhof is located in Bovile (Pill), a hamlet of Moso in Passiria. You can also easily reach it by bus: Simply get off at the "Moos, Dorf" or "Moos, Stieber Wasserfall" stop.
