Sant’Orsola

Only a stone’s throw from the Monte Cervina funicular, there is the village of Sant’Orsola.

Passo - Sant’Orsola is located at 682 m asl and is a little village belonging to San Leonardo in Passiria. Its parish church and its church steeple can be seen from afar, it is dedicated to S. Orsola and dates back to the 16th century. In 1895 the church was destroyed by a devastating fire, in consequence it was newly constructed. In 1905, a new bell by Bartolomeo Chiappani was added.

The village has got some 100 inhabitants and mainly attracts those who love hiking and nature. Thanks to its location at the Monte Cervina funicular, you can easily reach higher located starting points. Unspoilt nature, this is also what you come about in the winter season. Ski touring and snow shoeing, lasting experiences are guaranteed.
