The addresses here are simply Riva di Sotto, as the hamlet consists of only a few farms and houses

A Riva di Sotto in Appiano along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, a Riva di Sotto near Monguelfo: The latter refers to the small scattered settlement that belongs to the municipality of Monguelfo-Tesido in the Val Pusteria and lies at the entrance to the Valle di Anterselva.
From Riva di Sotto, the Valdaora Reservoir can be seen in the valley, offering a fine view. It has been here since the 1950s, when the valley floor was flooded for energy production. Today, the lake is used by the Brunico-Valdaora hydroelectric power station and is also popular with anglers.
To the west of Riva di Sotto (Unterrain bei Welsberg) runs the Dolomites Panoramic View Tour, called Dolomitenblickrunde. This moderately difficult, nine-kilometre hike starts in Rasun di Sotto and follows the steep "Gostner Kirchsteig" path. It then loops from Goste di Sopra, passing various farms. A place to stop for refreshments is the Mudler mountain inn, located above the Kirmlehof farm and below the Alpe di Tesido. After about three hours, you will arrive back in Rasun.
In winter, thanks to the proximity to Casies and Valdaora, the cross-country ski tracks and the Plan de Corones Skiing Area are easy to reach by car. The bus service ends in the valley at Goste: The winding road that climbs up to the hamlet is about another four kilometres long.
