For more than eight centuries, Castel Cornedo has towered over the entrance to the Val d’Ega valley from a steep hill above Cardano. Built by the Lords of Greifenstein in the 13th century, it has been open to the public since 2006 and is now one of the best-preserved castles in the area. Through the impressive swallow-tailed merlons of the castle walls, a spectacular view opens up over the Adige and Isarco Valleys. Inside, among majestic halls and ancient weapons, visitors can take an exciting leap back in time
