Circo Kafka
Info
Description
The stage space is a substitute for the circus ring. The drama, or rather the comedy, about K is presented. One day K wakes up and there are police officers in full uniform at his bedside. This kind of thing can happen to people who get up every day to go to work, including small-time crooks, but hardly to respected criminals, because they are in charge. So one day K wakes up and there are two policemen at his bedside.
Kafka imagines this situation in the 1920s. Today we could laugh about it, but strictly speaking there is no difference between yesterday and today, so we can't laugh.
You can knock on the door of your judge, on the door of a hidden courtroom under the roof, and it can happen that the justice system receives you but leaves you in the dark. You learn nothing, and you keep still and wait. The whole thing turns into a circus with puppets, trapeze artists and stuffed animals.
