Description

Hike with views of the Ortler, Königsspitze, and Zebru

Rosim Plateau in Sulden

The bus takes us through the diverse Vinschgau Valley to Sulden (1,900 m), located at the foot of "King Ortler" and the starting point of our hike. We ascend through the Rosim Valley, initially through shaded forest terrain to the "Rastl" (2,255 m). We then continue over steeper ground, following well-maintained switchbacks up to the Rosim Plateau (2,450 m). The view of the famous trio opposite - Ortler (3,905 m), the highest peak in the Eastern Alps, Königsspitze, and Zebru - is breathtaking. We descend toward the "Kanzel" (2,348 m), where we stop at the mountain inn to continue enjoying the magnificent views. After an extensive rest, the descent leads through the Zay Valley down to Sulden, where the bus will be waiting for our return journey.
