Traditional Costumes in South Tyrol Castelrotto village Hotels Castelrotto villageDescription
It has now become a tradition, the Castelrotto farmers' wedding. This is a faithful re-enactment of a historical peasant wedding, as was customary at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi. Thanks to the involvement of the many participants, who proudly wear and present the old traditional costumes, the event has developed into one of the most magnificent traditional costume shows in South Tyrol.
The highlight of the spectacle is the wedding procession from St. Anna (Wegmacher farm) to the center of Castelrotto. Dressed in traditional costumes, the wedding party parades into the center of Castelrotto on magnificently decorated horse-drawn sleighs, taking visitors on a journey back in time to the 19th century.
