The mighty Sciliar is surrounded by mixed forests which offer a habitat for a wide variety of animals and plants.
Parts of the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park are covered by mixed forests, while the Fiè Pond is situated in the middle of a pine forest. The area of the lake - a popular summer destination - is one hectare, at least half of which has proven to be an especially valuable biotope. Look forward to a unique flora and fauna at the heart of an untouched natural scenery.
The Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park is home to such animals as the red crossbill, the willow tit and the golden eagle as well as the Alpine chough and the chamois.
