These agile carts take you on a high-speed ride from the mountain station of the Plose down to the valley station

You will experience high-speed fun in the Valle Isarco when you head down into the valley on the mountain carts from the top station of the Plose. The Plose, the local mountain of Bressanone, is an activity mountain that attracts visitors in summer with its own bike park, the WoodyWalk and the Lorggen family trails with play areas, the entertaining Plose Bob, and cosy mountain huts.
At nine kilometres, the route is one of the longest in South Tyrol: The forest track from the top station to the valley station follows the course of the RudiRun toboggan run - in winter, the Plose transforms into a skiing area. The descent covers an altitude difference of 1,000 metres. You can find the mountain cart rental at the infoshop at the mountain station of the Plose Cable Car.
Teenagers aged 12 and over with a minimum height of 1.50 metres are allowed to drive the mountain carts themselves. Children from the age of three can ride on an adult's lap. The left brake lever controls the left rear brake, while the right lever controls the right one. This allows you to set your own pace, and the necessary safety equipment is, of course, provided.

More information
The mountain carts operate during the summer months from early June to the end of September. In June and September, they run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. In July and August, they operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. During the week of Ferragosto, from August 11 to 17, 2025, they are available for the descent every day. Sturdy footwear is required.
During busy periods, the availability of mountain carts cannot be guaranteed. In the event of rain, snowfall, or thunderstorms, the track and rental shop may be temporarily closed.
The cable car itself operates daily during the same period from 9 am to 6 pm, and from September 8, 2025, its closing time is 5 pm. It opens for the season at the end of May and closes in October.
