Famous mountain pass roads such the one on the mighty Stelvio Pass, wide cycle paths and small village streets characterise these cycling routes. Unlike mountain bikes, road and city bikes have less off-road capability but are faster on smooth, asphalted roads for the same amount of effort.
We have cycled to scenic destinations such as the Monte Ponente in the Valle Isarco, along the country lanes during the apple blossom in the Merano area, and across the Renon high plateau, famous for its Renon Train and the Earth Pyramids. We share our experiences with you here:
