Bike tour from Rablà to Naturno

This cycle tour starting and ending in Rablà is perfect for a leisurely afternoon

A leisurely July afternoon, a desire for some movement, but preferably without too much effort: We jump on our bikes to discover Tablà, Cirlano, and Naturno this time - coffee break included. The small hamlet of Tablà is popular with families for its well-known "Hinzl" Theme Trail, a trail dedicated to the little character Hinzl, who has all kinds of stories to tell.

We start at the railway station in Rablà and follow the Val Venosta Cycle Path along the Adige River to Plaus and on past Naturno to Ciardes. Passing Stava, we reach Sand, a small settlement just before Ciardes, the village at the transition from the Merano area to the Val Venosta. Here, we turn left into Via Steinach road and ride gently uphill to Tablà and then on to Cirlano.

To the right, Via Unterrohl leads to the sports ground in Naturno. This sports area "Nördersberg" offers a wide range of sports and leisure activities, making it a busy spot, especially at weekends.

The facilities include an artificial turf pitch, a club gym, an athletics track, and a minigolf course, while a natural ice rink opens in winter. The two well-maintained 18-hole courses tempt us to play a round of minigolf: Mini-golf on concrete and miniature golf on Eternit are offered.

Via the Via Dornsberg, we cycle past Taranto Castle - also known as Dornsberg Castle - at the foot of the Monte Tramontana and back to Plaus. From there, we turn right towards Obermelz, finally returning to our starting point after just under two hours via the small hamlet of Ried.
