The legendary Dolomiti Suberbike, the “toughest MTB race of the Dolomites”, leads every year in July through the Upper Val Pusteria.
It is used for qualifyings and MTB World Championship tests: The Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike is an important bicycle event which has been attracting both professional and leisure time mountain bikers for more than 25 years now. The race starts every year in July at the Expo area in Villabassa (Niederdorf) and leads to the most beautiful places of the Dolomites: Prato Piazza, Lake Dobbiaco, Mt. Elmo, Gigante Baranci Mountain Hut, view on the Three Peaks of Lavaredo and Lake Landro:
60 km, 1,570 m of altitude difference
123 km, 3,400 m of altitude difference
A great side programme is, moreover, waiting for you: For three evenings and two days entire Villabassa is dedicated to the motto "Cycling and enjoying life". It includes also the famous Pasta Party and the Junior Trophy. The Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike is organised by the OK-Team and supported by 1,000 volunteers from the surrounding villages.
