Three Peaks Visitor Centre

The visitor centre is located at the former Grand Hotel in Dobbiaco and is a great place for children to discover nature

The Three Peaks or Tre Cime Visitor Centre not only deals with the Three Peaks Nature Park but also with the eastern part of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park: In fact, Lake Dobbiaco is located exactly on the border of these two protected areas. Information about the natural and cultural landscape and the geology of the Sesto Dolomites is offered. Visitors also receive information about wartime events at the front during the Mountain Warfare and the beginnings of mountaineering and tourism in the Upper Val Pusteria.

The permanent exhibition about the World Heritage site of the Dolomites completes the offer. Daksy's Kids' Workshop expects children, where they can smell and feel nature. And in the forest behind the visitor centre the so-called Wood Wonder World Dobbiaco is located - it contains a Celtic tree horoscope and a tree village. Here the children can explore nature playfully. The mascot Daksy, the smart badger, is always at their side!
