South Tyrolean mozzarella and premium apple balsamic vinegar transform a trio of tomatoes into a delightful dish
Fresh tomatoes, freshly ground pepper and fresh basil - this trio of tomatoes is enhanced with local mozzarella and balsamic vinegar, making it visually appealing as well.
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- 40 g cherry tomatoes
- 40 g datterini tomatoes
- 40 g standard tomatoes, depending on availability
- 1 South Tyrolean mozzarella
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- a pinch of salt
- freshly ground white pepper
- fresh basil
- 20 ml apple balsamic vinegar (Walcher's organic apple balsamic vinegar is used here)
- 15 ml olive oil
8 preparation steps:
- Slice the datterini tomatoes attractively.
- Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- Cut the standard tomatoes into neat triangles.
- Place the trio of tomatoes in a bowl and season with the tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
- Season to taste with the apple balsamic vinegar and round off with a little olive oil.
- Arrange the trio of tomatoes on a plate and add the pieces of mozzarella.
- Drizzle again with a little apple balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
