Trio of tomatoes, mozzarella and apple balsamic vinegar

South Tyrolean mozzarella and premium apple balsamic vinegar transform a trio of tomatoes into a delightful dish

Fresh tomatoes, freshly ground pepper and fresh basil - this trio of tomatoes is enhanced with local mozzarella and balsamic vinegar, making it visually appealing as well.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 40 g cherry tomatoes
  • 40 g datterini tomatoes
  • 40 g standard tomatoes, depending on availability
  • 1 South Tyrolean mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • a pinch of salt
  • freshly ground white pepper
  • fresh basil
  • 20 ml apple balsamic vinegar (Walcher's organic apple balsamic vinegar is used here)
  • 15 ml olive oil

8 preparation steps:

  • Slice the datterini tomatoes attractively.
  • Halve the cherry tomatoes.
  • Cut the standard tomatoes into neat triangles.
  • Place the trio of tomatoes in a bowl and season with the tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Season to taste with the apple balsamic vinegar and round off with a little olive oil.
  • Arrange the trio of tomatoes on a plate and add the pieces of mozzarella.
  • Drizzle again with a little apple balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve.

The trio of tomatoes is a light and healthy summer dish that tastes of sun and holidays.
