Llama hikes for children and a petting zoo await you at the Monte Cavallo mountain station in the Upper Valle Isarco

Above the town of Vipiteno, in the Upper Valle Isarco, towers the Monte Cavallo, a peak in the Stubai Alps that turns into a ski resort in winter. A new cable car takes you from the valley station up to an altitude of around 1,860 metres in just a few minutes. There, the Rossy Park awaits you, a destination with a petting zoo home to donkeys, ponies, pygmy sheep, rabbits, llamas and alpacas.
The llamas and alpacas are the particular stars of the show: In summer, they accompany children on a pleasant hike, known as llama trekking. A playground and the "Rossy Walk", a three-kilometre-long theme trail suitable for pushchairs, provide further variety. On this path, Rossy, the friendly and curious little horse, takes you on a journey of discovery.
From the Monte Cavallo, you can also enjoy a panoramic view that extends from the Zillertal and Stubai Alps to the Sarentino Alps and the Dolomites. If you are looking for even more excitement, you will find the Panorama Mountain Coaster on the Monte Cavallo, called Rosskopf in German.
Furthermore, the valley station is the place of the Skytrek Adventure Park. How to get to the Rossy Park: The valley station of the Monte Cavallo Cable Car is just a few minutes' walk from Vipiteno's town centre. Parking spaces and a city bus stop are also available.
