Located at 421 m a.s.l., the little village of Pinzano forms an architectural ensemble with a particular atmosphere. Nestling in the heart of the famous Pinot Nero vineyards, it represents a tranquil and idyllic spot of land. There are not only fantastic hiking destinations in the surroundings, but also a particularly popular track for mountain bikers, which is the former railway line of the Val di Fiemme Railway stretching to the Passo San Lugano.
The centre of the village is represented by the Piazza Santo Stefano. The legendary creatures painted on the walls of the Pinzonerkeller as well as the village fountain and the beautiful S. Stefano Church convey a particularly charming atmosphere. By the way: the church boasts the famous Hans-Klocker altar, which is a winged altar by the famous master of Bressanone.
Furthermore there are several viewpoints in the village, making you enjoy a fabulous panorama on the Bassa Atesina, up to the mountains surrounding Merano.
Our tip: What we particularly recommend is a walking tour to the Monte Corno, a mountain from the top of which you can enjoy a fabulous view on the Bassa Atesina.
