The 2,781 m high Punta Cervina is located in the middle of the Sarentino Alps, north of Mt Ivigna. The funicular from Saltusio takes you up to 1,980 m asl, where the hike can start. The mountain tour on the top of the Punta Cervina is considered to be a hike of medium difficulty.
From the peak you can see the Val Venosta, the Monte Muta, the Cima Rosa and the Cigot mountain. The proper peak, however, is located slightly behind the cross on the summit and reveals a view on the Sarentino Alps and - far away - the mighty Dolomites. Furthermore, the Gran Zebrù, Mt Ivigna, the upper Val Passiria and the Stubai Alps will make you feel like having the world at your feet.
