In both summer and winter, Mt. Corno del Renon - easily reachable from Bolzano also by public transport - is a popular excursion destination. The Corno del Renon Cable Car takes you from Pemmern up to the mountain, and then the real summit can be reached in a one-hour walk (200 m of altitude difference). The theme path "The Fabulous World of Toni" at the Cima Lago Nero mountain station, however, inaugurated in 2020, is also suitable for prams.
The unforgettable view from Mt. Corno del Renon - Rittner Horn, in German includes the Ortles Alps, Oetztal Alps, Dolomites, Stubai and Zillertal Alps, and the Brenta Group in the neighbouring Trentino. The mountain huts invite to stop and relax. In winter you might enjoy the family-friendly Corno del Renon skiing area, offering three lift facilities, 15 km of gentle, vast slopes and a snow park at the intermediate station. Also cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snow-shoeing and walking on the 1st certified winter hiking trail in Italy are popular activities you might enjoy.
