In the rear Val d'Ultimo valley is the only National Park House outside the Val Venosta. From Santa Geltrude, the road continues for a short distance to Lake Fontana Bianca, which is already located in the Stelvio National Park. Fittingly, the visitor centre, which is entirely devoted to the topic "Forest and Wood", is housed in a centuries-old Venetian sawmill.
The importance of the forest for man and nature is shown in the visitor centre "lahnersäge" as well as the processing of a tree trunk into a board in the sawmill and the grinding of the grain into flour in the adjacent mill. Children can look forward to an interesting outdoor area and the special exhibition "Animal Babies - Born to be wild".
