End your day on the ski slopes of the Plose with a visit at the Christmas market in Piazza Duomo. The Christmas market of Bressanone, along with those of Bolzano, Merano, Brunico and Vipiteno is one of the largest ones in South Tyrol and, like them, a Green Event too. The Cathedral of Bressanone with its wonderful frescoed ceiling and 800-year-old cloister give to the market in the old town a special charm. From the end of November to 6 January the almost 50 stalls of the Christmas market sell Christmas sweets, mulled wine, dumplings, sweet Krapfen, wool, leather, tea and spice mixtures.
The fireplace below the wooden stage where several South-Tyrolean singers perform their concerts, is a popular meeting spot. The carillon of the White Tower rings out from Monday to Saturday at 11 am. Local composer Manuela Kerer arranged the carillon's melody by taking inspiration from Beethoven's 9th symphony Ode to Joy to launch a message of peace. At the info point of the Christmas market you can purchase advent calendars in the size of postcards decorated by the individuals with disabilities of the "Werkstatt der Wunderbar - Seeburg" to promote peace.
The nativity scene exhibition of the Diocesan Museum at the Bishop's Palace is really worth a visit. The inner courtyard of the Palazzo Vescovile houses the "Light & Music Show Brixen: Colors 2", a special event with stunning images accompanied by sweet melodies. This show is set up by the French group Spectaculaires and Ukrainian light artist Julia Shamsheieva who collaborated in the previous editions of this event as well.
