The Bolzano Concert Association is one of the oldest music organisers in Tyrol. It goes back to the Bolzano Music Society, which has been instrumental in the musical development of Bolzano since 1855. Since its foundation in 1855, its aim has been to organise an annual season of first-class classical music concerts in Bolzano almost without interruption.

19:30 - 21:30 - In 2005, a journey of discovery began that took Sjaella's female artists all over the world. Sjaella, an ensemble of female voices, has gained a firm place in the world of vocal music. Various tours have taken the ensemble to Jordan, Azerbaijan, Hungary, South Africa, Belgium, Spain and Norway.

Sjaella has a vast repertoire, ranging from ancient to contemporary, and also embracing traditional folk music and jazz. On the evening in Bolzano, entitled ‘Among the branches’, Sjaella will perform music by ancient composers such as Clément Janequin and Henry Purcell, folk songs from different countries, and contemporary pieces by Caroline Shaw and Maari Kallberg.
