Circular hike to the Malga Hagner hut

This circular hike leads us through the woods on the Passo Nigra to the Busolineck and via the Hagner Mountain Hut back to the starting point in Nova Levante

In the village of Nova Levante (Welschnofen) we take the Via Hagner path and follow the Rio Hagner brook to the edge of the village where we continue on the Vicolo Jocher alley. At the edge of the forest above the Valle Nigra valley, a forest road leads slightly uphill.

Past the Heinzenhof farm and the Hotel Rosengarten, the Valle Nigra valley path proceeds first with the no. 15 and then with the marker 4B to huts and finally to the Sagerer Schwaige. At this hut, a path to the Buselineck branches off to the right. This 1,655 m high hill is located above the Val di Tires valley. From some spots we can enjoy the view towards Mt. Sciliar.

The path no. 1 leads from the Buselineck through the forest via the Kreinberger Schwaige hut to the Hagner Mountain Hut (Hagner Alm). There are extensive meadows and the view on the Latemar is really impressive. The mountain hut has also a lot of culinary delicacies to offer, so its worthwhile to stop here. The descent via the path 4A takes us along a partly asphalted alpine road directly down to Nova Levante again. This extensive but easy hike with a visit to a mountain hut is recommended for everyone who wants to enjoy a day in the forests on the Passo Nigra.
