The wine village of San Paolo invites you in the Advent period to the largest Nativity Scene Exhibition throughout South Tyrol.
Like every year in Christmas time, the wine village of San Paolo, a locality that belongs to the municipality of Appiano near Bolzano, invites you to the largest Nativity Scene Exhibition throughout South Tyrol. Numerous Christmas cribs appear in the windows, bays and niches of the historical alleys between the end of November and January 6, the feast of Epiphany.
Particularly in the evening the village appears to be really atmospheric. The idyllic silhouette of San Paolo and the huge Christmas tree in front of the church, due to its size known as "Dome in the Countryside", spread a fairytale-like Christmas atmosphere. A varied entertainment programme, made of wooden stands, live concerts, a "Living Nativity Scene" and the traditional St. Nicholas move conclude the offer of this magical event.
