Mountains as far as the eye can see: The Alta Badia in the Dolomites is very popular with hikers and skiers

Dolomite peaks such as the 2,665-metre-high Sassongher and the even more imposing Sasso di Santa Croce, as well as the Ladin language, characterise the Alta Badia. Ladin, alongside German and Italian, is one of the three official languages in South Tyrol. The region occupies the rear section of the Val Badia and includes the municipalities of Corvara, Badia, and La Valle.
For active enthusiasts, the Alta Badia presents a wide range of activities: Hiking trails open up the Dolomites to you, and MTB trails reveal the impressive landscape of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. Near Corvara, a 9-hole golf course awaits on a sun-drenched high plateau. In winter, the ski area at the foot of the Sella Group connects the Alta Badia with the nearby Alpe di Siusi.
