From Molini di Tures, shortly before the main village of Campo Tures, a side valley branches off, extending deep into the Zillertal Alps. The Valle di Selva dei Molini consists of three small villages, mills, sawmills, and rushing streams.
Water shapes not only the landscape here but the entire valley. This is evident from the Selva dei Molini Reservoir on the edge of the main village of Selva dei Molini and Lake Neves, located high in the mountains - both are used for electricity generation. The valley is known for its diverse themed trails.
One of these, the Selva dei Molini Alpine Pasture Trail, takes you deep into the unspoilt landscape of the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park. The themed network "The Power of Water" includes various paths for explorers, among them the gentle circular route around the Selva dei Molini Reservoir and the "Water and Wheel" trail in Selva di Dentro, which introduces you to the world of mills. The hike through the Lappago Gorge is more challenging but well-secured, and ends at the "Magic of Water" Museum in the Lappago rectory.
In the rear part of the valley, in the Lappago Valley, you reach the mountain world directly. Lake Neves is situated there, a good starting point for the mountain tour on the Neves High Route in the glacial landscape of the Zillertal Alps. In winter, the lake is a destination for ski tourers.
Winter sports also include tobogganing: The Weizgruber Mountain Hut on the Selva dei Molini Farms Trail is particularly suitable for this. Down in the valley, the Snow & Fun Familypark Tamarix invites children to an adventure on snow discs and snow tubes.
