A pleasant hike leads us through the beautiful Valle di Selva dei Molini, the “Valley of Water”, to Lappago

Starting from the car park on the eastern shore of Lake Selva dei Molini, we cross the lake on the wooden bridge to hike into the valley along the banks of the local stream. Walking along the edge of the forest, with views of the wide, green valley and the sunny slopes, we soon pass the village of Selva dei Molini. In early summer, snow often still lies on the mountain peaks.
Small and large streams, crystal-clear lakes and powerful waterfalls shape the landscape. This is why the Valle di Selva dei Molini is simply called the "Valley of Water". We reach the farms of Lappago di Sotto. The final section of the path becomes a little narrower.
Finally, our route takes us along an asphalt road to a playground with a Kneipp facility below Lappago. From there, a narrow path leads up into the village. This final section is the only part of the hike with a noticeable incline. Once at the top, we visit the church before returning to our starting point at the Lake Selva dei Molini (Mühlwalder See) by local bus.
With a length of just over eight kilometres and an elevation gain of around 400 metres, this is an easy hike on largely wide paths. Only in the final section does the path become narrower and more difficult. As a result, this section is not suitable for pushchairs, for example.
