In this side valley of the Val Pusteria, no fewer than 80 three-thousand-metre peaks rise into the sky. Their mere sight delights alpinists and hiking enthusiasts from all over the world. This mountain giants have earned the valleys the nickname "Valley of the Three-Thousanders".
Here in the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park, both mountaineers and leisure hikers feel right at home. You can choose from various destinations, such as the Vedrette di Ries Hut, the Rifugio Roma, or Mt. Gran Mèsule. Down in the valley, themed paths like the St. Francis Way and the Tures Nature Trail wind their way to spots such as the Riva Waterfalls or the banks of the Aurino River.
